The Obama administration, in the face of overwhelming evidence that China is working against U.S. interests on numerous issues, is re-thinking its conciliatory policies toward Beijing. The initial Obama policy on China was called active engagement, based on its assessment that China is the most important foreign policy challenge for the United States.
