U.S. officials acknowledge discussing electrical grid tech with Chinese counterparts
In a move critics say could bolster Chinese information warfare capabilities, an official of the National Institute of Standards and Technology disclosed last week that China has met with U.S. officials to discuss advanced electrical grid technology.
George Arnold, national coordinator for the so-called Smart Grid at NIST, told a hearing of the House technology and innovation subcommittee July 1 about the contacts with Chinese government officials.
