China bans high-res Google and Bing maps after its secret facilities made public
In an effort to hide its military forces from international scrutiny, China last week issued a ban on Google Earth and Bing maps.
Both mapping services provide high-resolution photos of any place on earth and in recent years several significant Chinese military facilities have been exposed.
