Israelis warned against avoid travel to Sinai, Jordan, Morocco
TEL AVIV Ñ Israel has warned its nationals not to travel to Arab
neighbors.
The National Security Council has warned of imminent insurgency threats
in Egypt and Jordan, Middle East Newsline reported. The council, part of the prime minister's office, urged
Israelis to postpone trips to Amman and Cairo as well as other Arab
countries, such as Morocco.
The travel warning said the insurgency threat was greatest in Egypt's
Sinai Peninsula. The Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah was said to have been
planning to kill or abduct Israelis at resorts in the peninsula.
