Iraq oil production up 3.3 million barrels in March over February
BAGHDAD — Iraq continues to increase crude oil exports amid record
prices.
The Oil Ministry reported that Iraq increased crude oil exports by 3.3
million barrels in March 2008 over the previous month. The ministry said
this resulted in revenues of nearly $15.5 billion.
On April 24, the ministry said Iraq's crude oil exports for March
reached 59.4 million barrels. In February, exports were reported at 56.1
million barrels, netting slightly more than $15 billion.

In March, 49.5 million barrels were exported through Basra. The
remaining 9.9 million barrels were transported from Kirkuk to Turkey's
Ceyhan terminal on the Mediterranean Sea.
