Democrats will be known for Iraq surrender; Time now for homeland defense

IRAQ SEEKS TO RAISE OIL OUTPUT TO 3m BPD ABU DHABI — Iran plans to raise crude oil production output to three million barrels per day in 2008.

Iraqi Oil Minister Hussein Shahristani told a conference that Baghdad would add more than 500,000 barrels of oil per day over the next three months.

Shahristani said Iraq would produce 3.5 million barrels per day by 2010.

"Some 50 discovered fields await developers," Shahristani told a recent oil conference.

The oil minister said Baghdad must construct an eastern pipeline as well as oil terminals south of Basra. He said Iran plans to increase production to more than four million barrels of oil per day after 2010.
