Democrats will be known for Iraq surrender; Time now for homeland defense

ALGERIA, IRAN PLAN ENERGY COOPERATION NICOSIA — Algeria and Iran intend to expand energy cooperation.

Officials said the two Middle East states plan to examine joint energy and water projects. They said Iran offered energy network maintenance and other technical cooperation to the North African state.

The cooperation talks took place on Dec. 8 during the visit by Algerian Water Resources Minister Abdul Malik Sellal. Sellal met Iranian Energy Minister Parviz Fattah in what officials said what was an Iranian attempt to expand economic and other relations with Algeria.

Both Algeria and Iran have been developing their natural gas industry. Teheran has also offered Algeria nuclear cooperation.
