Kuwait to develop oil field in North, near Iraq border

ABU DHABI — Kuwait has reiterated its intention to develop oil fields along the border with Iraq.

The state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corp. plans to implement the exploration and development of Kuwait's northern oil fields. The company's new chief executive, Saad Al Shuwayib, said Project Kuwait stipulated the exploration of four oil fields in the north.

"I will work to achieve many projects which are on the agenda of KPC's board, among them the northern oil fields project," Al Shuwayib said.
