Democrats will be known for Iraq surrender; Time now for homeland defense

TURKEY RECEIVES FIRST SHIPMENT OF AZERI GAS ANKARA — Turkey has received its first shipment of natural gas from Azerbaijan. The gas arrived in Turkey on July 3 through the Shakh Deniz pipeline. The $4 billion pipeline, operated by Turkey's Botas and Norway's Statoil, was delayed because of technical mishaps. The Deniz pipeline project was meant to reduce Turkish and European Union dependency on Russia. The Azeri gas would be supplied to Greece and Italy.

In a later stage, the pipeline would be connected to the Nabucco pipeline. Nabucco, supported by the European Union, has still not been completed.
