ISRAEL, CHINA SIGN SECURITY MARKETING DEAL
TEL AVIV — An Israeli firm has signed a security marketing deal with
China.
Israel's Beit Alpha Technologies has signed a joint venture deal with an
unidentified Chinese firm to help supply Beijing with equipment required for
the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Beit Alpha, a kibbutz firm, manufactures
anti-riot vehicles and systems.
Executives said Beit Alpha and the Chinese firm would develop and market
vehicles for riot and crowd control. They said the platforms would be
deployed by Chinese security forces for the Olympic Games.
In 2005, Beit Alpha was one of several Israeli companies that exhibited
their products at the China Police Show in Beijing. Beit Alpha has sent an
anti-riot police vehicle to China for a demonstration.
