Lev Navrozov emigrated from the Soviet Union in 1972 He settled in New York City where he quickly learned that there was no market for his eloquent and powerful English language attacks on the Soviet Union. To this day, he writes without fear or favor or the conventions of polite society. He chaired the "Alternative to the New York Times Committee" in 1980, challenged the editors of the New York Times to a debate (which they declined) and became a columnist for the New York City Tribune. His columns are today read in both English and Russian.

Harold Channer is an atypical American. Instead of making money hand over fist, he runs the TV program ÒConversations with Harold Hudson Channer,Ó aired each weekday at 10:30 a.m. (Channel 34 of the Time/Warner & Channel 17 of the RCN Cable Television Systems in Manhattan, New York). The program can be viewed also on the Internet at the same time: www.mnn.org. Media outlets can receive a copy of the program on request (navlev@cloud9.net).

A ÒguestÓ for his one-hour-long program is not a top official or a celebrity, known to all to be forgotten by everyone, but someone who has to say something of crucial importance to mankind.

It would be wrong to call this individual a ÒguestÓ because there is neither ÒguestÓ nor ÒhostÓ on the program. Channer is not the Òhost,Ó but an interlocutor, helping, owing to his prodigious memory, Renaissance versatility, and incisive intellect, to make the dialogue clear, informative, and convincing to the audience.

Watching this dialogue (with Harold's superb interlocution), a viewer may think that a new era began after the dialogue was aired on July 6, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. Ñ the survival of the United States was now assured, since Òthe majority of the American peopleÓ grew aware of the danger of nano annihilation of the United States.

In 1939, the democratic West awoke from its dream about Hitler as a champion of peace because Hitler had launched an easily recognizable conventional war of territorial expansion instead of developing ÒpeacefullyÓ nuclear weapons. Today, only media programs like Harold Channer's can awaken the West from its dream about China as an idyll of peace.

However, I spoke with Harold in the same TV studio on the same subject about a year ago. I spoke on the subject four times on Langer Broadcast Network with its audience of 26 million American homes, and a couple of months ago I spoke (for three hours!) on ÒCoast to Coast AM.Ó The result is the same. The concern, agitation, horror of listeners and viewers Ñ and national silence.

Even the struggle for Taiwan has been accompanied by total Western official silence. The Òsupreme leadersÓ of China want to conquer Taiwan because its very existence (a Chinese country without dictatorship) is subversive for the dictatorship of China. For the United States, the population of Taiwan is an ally in the war against Mao, which the United States lost because Mao was helped by Stalin. To let the successors of Mao conquer Taiwan is for the United States to sustain a worse blow than would be to let the Chinese dictators conquer any other geostrategically equivalent country. Hence the seven U.S. aircraft carrier groups moved Ñ in total official silence! Ñ to prevent the Chinese dictators' conquest of Taiwan. But surely the independent existence of the West is more subversive for the Chinese dictators than that of Taiwan, and to destroy the independence of the West is more important for the Òsupreme leadersÓ of China than that of Taiwan.

The global struggle will be decided not by aircraft carriers (invented in 1919), but by nano and other such weapons, capable of destroying enemy means of nuclear retaliation. This is what the majority of the American people should be made to understand.

Of all media, the cinema is now the most effective.

Michael Moore's books have been the best-sellers, and his film ÒFahrenheit 9/11Ó is a tremendous success. What is this all about? This is expressed by the first part of Winston Churchill's famous sentence: ÒDemocracy is the worst form of government. . . .Ó Anyone can see from Moore's books and the film that so it is.

Yet Churchill adds: Ò. . . except all others.Ó Let us recall that way back in the 13th century, torture in China was already so sophisticated that Chinese carried a poison they swallowed when arrested, for no one could contemplate THAT torture without committing suicide. However, the police made those arrested vomit the poison.

Well, EVERY elected top executive of any democratic country pretends that he or she does not perceive the danger of becoming a Chinese colony under the threat of nano annihilation, and Moore could well attack this suicidal hypocrisy as the worst aspect of the worst form of government.

Instead, Moore has been pretending that he does not perceive that danger either. While presenting himself as an I'll-tell-the-truth-even-if-you-kill-me working class chappy, he has participated in the conspiracy of silence as diligently as anyone whom he attacks. He is in the conspiracy of silence while yelling at the top of his lungs about his fearless truthfulness.

Moore poses as a proletarian truth-seeker denouncing the lies of the powers that be and the mainstream media. Figuring in his truth crusade is bin Laden as the organizer of 9/11. But the truth is that bin Laden is a charlatan who bragged that he Òplanned and carried outÓ 9/11, but had nothing to do with it (see my column of 2/4/02 ÒWho Is Osama bin Laden, and Does He Have Anything to Do with the Sept. 11 Attack?Ó It is an elected top executive, Tony Blair, who declared (on the basis of the British Intelligence Service, of course!) that bin Laden had Òplanned and carried outÓ 9/11, and thousands of parrots of the mainstream media have been parroting Tony Blaire's idiotic invention, the proletarian truth-seeker Moore being one of these parrots despite his proletarian attire challenging Tony Blair's bourgeois suit and parliamentary manners.

I have received an e-mail from one of my readers. As a former military man, he agreed with my columns. But how to save the West and in particular the United States? It is necessary to wake up the majority of the American people to the fatal danger. How? The only way is, in his opinion, a movie. Yes, like Michael Moore's, but showing not only that democracy is the worst form of government, but also that it is the worst, EXCEPT ALL OTHERS, such as a Chinese colony, to say nothing of nano annihilation, which is not a form of government, but a form of death.

Moore's film has demonstrated that movie audiences want films devoted to broad political issues, not cinematic short stories. What political issue is broader than the issue of survival of the West, having the worst form of government (EXCEPT ALL OTHERS)?

Of course, it is necessary to find a filmmaker who would understand that this would be the most important (and hence, hopefully, the most successful) film in the history of Western filmmaking. The film can be based on my book, now Online. The reviewers of my previous book (over 100 reviews) compared me to Mark Twain, Proust, Orwell, Voltaire, and Dostoyevsky. That is, in my new book, now Online, the filmmakers will find a good base for a film.

My reader is right: only a film can save the West.

Our Center for the Survival of Western Democracies has mailed the respective proposal to the 220 film agencies of the United States. Do you know personally any film agent or filmmaker willing to save Western civilization?
