NICOSIA Ñ Iran has again attacked military bases in neighboring
Iraq.
Iranian opposition sources said Iranian gunners fired 107 mm Katyusha
rockets at military bases in southern Iraq. The bases were identified as
those aligned with the Mujahadeen Khalq.
The Baghdad-based Mujahadeen Khalq has led an insurgency against the
Islamic regime in Teheran. So far this year, the opposition has claimed
dozens of attacks in and around Teheran.
The Mujahadeen reported an Iranian attack on early Saturday. They said
this was the sixth such attack on its bases in southern Iraq since the
middle of last month.
The opposition said nobody was hurt and no damage was reported in the
latest Iranian attack. In April, Iran fired 66 missiles and rockets at
Mujahadeen bases in Iraq.
