The horrific story from Germany that almost did not see the light of day

German officials and the mainstream media almost succeeded in suppressing news of the heinous acts of some 1,000 Arab men on New Year’s Eve.

However, social media and the devastated victims of a wave of sexual assaults in Cologne prevented political correctness from burying the story.

On Jan. 5, German police announced that 90 women had been sexually molested, robbed, or threatened by a gang of 1,000 “Arab or North African” men outside Cologne’s central cathedral. At least one woman was raped, police said.

While German officials and the media scrambled to keep a lid on the story, the women who were targeted began to come forward publicly.

An 18-year-old called Michelle told Germany’s N-TV news network that she and her 11 friends were sexually harassed, groped, and robbed on New Year’s Eve.

“At around 11 p.m. we were at the main train station and wanted to travel on to see the fireworks and that was when we first noticed all these men standing around,” she said. “We managed to go into the cathedral and wanted to go past the Museum Ludwig to join everyone and watch the fireworks by the river, but suddenly we were surrounded by a group of between 20 and 30 men.”

“‘They were full of anger, and we had to make sure that none of us were pulled away by them. They were groping us and we were trying to get away as quickly as possible”

A 27-year-old woman called Anne told Spiegel Online: “The entire square was full of almost exclusively men with just a few fearful women among them being stared at. I can hardly describe it. I felt very uncomfortable.” She said she was groped soon after arriving.

Another woman identified as Katja, said: “When we came out of the station, we were very surprised by the group we met, which was made up only of foreign men… We walked through the group of men, there was a tunnel through them, we walked through… I was groped everywhere… Although we shouted and hit them, they men didn’t stop. I was horrified and I think I was touched around 100 times over the 200 meters.”

Germany has taken in some one million Arab refugees in the past year, most of them young, single men. Officials and the media have gone to great lengths to accommodate the migrants and to “whitewash” any transgressions committed by them, American novelist Jack Engelhard wrote in a commentary piece for Arutz Sheva.

“If we had to rely on the mainstream media they’d have us just where they want us, whitewashed and blacked out from the truth.”

“Europe would rather view Israel as an enemy than as a friend fighting the same war, a world war brought to us all from a generation of Arabs who know no limits, who share no Judeo Christian/Western values and who use our freedoms to liberate their carnal appetites.”

Adding further outrage to the story, Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker actually had the audacity to blame the victims, Engelhard said. “Women, she declared, ought to know their place and ‘stay at arm’s length.’

“A high-ranking police officer in Berlin announced that there was nothing the police could do. Women, in other words, are on their own,” he wrote. “Too bad, ladies, but the Migrants come first. It’s their feelings that count.”

Engelhard pointed out that the left-leaning media was silent on the story until “being prodded along through Twitter and Facebook. The New York Times opened up about the New Year’s atrocities and even the BBC had no choice but to run with what’s happening in Germany, Sweden and Norway, but without naming Rotherham.

“Rotherham (in Great Britain) was where we first learned about the trend. Women and girls were being raped by men of Pakistani origin, a scandal hushed up to protect Muslims rather than the thousands of victims. People who complained were arrested for daring to speak the truth and upset the balance favoring the coddled predators.”

“Chalk this up as the insanity of political correctness.”
