Russian exercise near Georgia redirected to Syria after Israeli strike

Yet while the drill was going on in earnest, the Israelis attacked Iranian missiles inside Syria.

Suddenly, the Syrian civil war threatened to spiral outside the country to involve major nations in the world in the regional conflict.

Putin swiftly ordered a large amphibious landing ship to the Black Sea region near Syria to augment the ongoing large naval exercises aimed at military contingencies inside Syria, according to the state-run media outlet RIA Novosti.
