‘Quasi-deification’ puts Xi Jinping in same league as Mao and Deng

The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) propaganda machinery has gone into overdrive eulogizing the “Xi Jinping spirit.”

Exhortations about “deeply implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important talks,” have suffused commentaries in People’s Daily, Seeking Truth and other major party mouthpieces.

One commentary claimed that Xi’s theoretical innovations amounted to “the substantiation, enrichment and development of the concept of socialism with Chinese characteristics… [as a result of which] the Sinicization of Marxism has been brought to new heights.”

It is likely that the CCP Constitution will be revised in the near future to highlight the 62-year-old supremo’s contribution to the Marxist canon.

Thus, the “Xi Jinping spirit” has been elevated to the same level as Mao Zedong Thought and the Theory of Deng Xiaoping.
