Boston terror resets Russia ties; Chechnya group blames Moscow

For decades, the Russians have been brutally suppressing the Chechnya independence movement.
While the U.S. has been fighting Al Qaida-inspired terrorists worldwide, Russia’s obsession with Chechnya rarely occupied a prominent spot in America’s national awareness.

That was all changed nearly two weeks ago in Boston when two immigrant brothers from Chechnya detonated bombs during the Marathon race, which killed three, wounded dozens.
