At least 35 dead in blast at Hizbullah stronghold in Beirut

A pair of explosions minutes apart ripped through a stronghold of Iranian terror proxy Hizbullah in Beirut on Nov. 12, killing at least 35 people.

Map-of-Lebanon-1Sources told Lebanon’s Daily Star and Al Jazeera that two suicide bombers launched the attacks in the Shi’ite-majority area of Ain el Sikkeh in southern Beirut.

The explosions were set off near the Palestinian refugee camp at Burj el-Barajne, which is a Hizbullah stronghold.

Hizbullah fighters are currently supporting the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad and are battling both Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) terrorists and anti-Assad rebels.

There have been a spate of car bomb attacks against Shi’ite districts of Beirut in recent years, several of which targeted the Burj el-Barajne camp.
