'Failure Factory': 2008 book of the year

Bill Gertz is widely-acknowledged as the top U.S. national security correspondent and has published several N.Y. Times bestsellers. In his new book, Failure Factory, Gertz focuses attention on what he characterizes as the often unchecked power of the massive, unelected federal bureaucracy.

The editors are pleased to recommend Failure Factory to WorldTribune.com readers as one of the most important books of the year.

Following, at top, the Fox News short report on Failure Factory and, below, the Fox interview of Gertz during which co-host Alan Colmes appears shocked to learn of the existence of "liberal Republicans."
