Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said the Teheran regime has
proposed that Ankara help develop several crude oil and natural gas fields
over the next year.
Yildiz said his government would relay the proposal,
which would require an investment of up to $200 million, to Turkish energy
developers.

Yildiz said the Iranian fields were small and did not elaborate. He said
the latest Iranian offer came after Teheran suspended a project for Turkey
to develop three large Iranian gas fields.
"The decision was made purely on technical grounds," Yildiz said on Jan.
