N. Korea's RGB Office No. 6 said to be running anti-GPS military jamming operations
SEOUL — North Korea is set to deploy an updated version of a communications jamming device that could range far south of Seoul's metropolitan area, the defense ministry said.
The destitute nation has been developing the new Global Positioning System (GPS) jammer capable of disrupting signals more than 100 km away, among other devices for electronic warfare, the ministry said in a report submitted to the parliamentary committee on defense on Sept. 6.
