Assad's uncle, 'brain', helped Syrian regime profit from its corruption
WASHINGTON — The United States has named the leading financiers of the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
The U.S. embassy in Damascus has identified relatives of Assad who have become extremely rich through their connections to the president.
