Bahrain assesses it defeated Shi'ite opposition, foreign infiltration
ABU DHABI — Bahrain has concluded that the Shi'ite revolt would not be renewed in 2011.
Officials said Bahrain's intelligence and security community has assessed that the Iranian-backed Shi'ite revolt was defeated in April. They said the community determined that the Shi'ites would require at least a year to reorganize major unrest.
