Failed state Libya and its WMD remnants concern U.S. intelligence
U.S. intelligence officials are closely monitoring the spiraling disarray in Libya amid signs that the regime of Moammar Gadhafi has lost control, and the instability is raising new fears that remnants of Gadhafi's chemical weapons will be used on anti-regime rebels.
Intelligence sources said there are real concerns Libya will break out its stockpiles of the deadly blistering agent mustard gas and other chemical arms, along with some 1,000 Scud missiles.
