North Korea plans for satellite launch seen linked to development of 'TD-2' ICBM

U.S. intelligence agencies are closely monitoring North Korea for signs that the regime in Pyongyang will conduct a launch of a satellite in the near future, as part of its covert development of the Taepodong ICBM. U.S. officials said a recent report in North Korea's party newspaper may have been a signal that Pyongyang is getting ready for a satellite launch on a converted missile.
