A U.S. intelligence operation to track down Hizbullah and other terrorists was disclosed last week by the release of internal documents on a U.S. aerial spying mission code-named Cedar Sweep. The operation was requested by the Lebanese Defense Ministry and carried out beginning April 2008, when the Lebanese government was facing growing internal political conflict.
