China has supplied ground attack jets to Sudanese military forces along with weapons and military systems for use in Darfur, bolstering claims that Beijing is complicit in backing rogue states. A UN observer photographed several Nanchang A-5 Fanta jets in Sudan at Nyala airport in Southern Darfur, where the Sudanese government has been fighting rebels and where hundreds of thousands are said to have been killed in atrocities.
