Al Qaida's Arab and North African branches taking aim at France
LONDON — Saudi Arabia has relayed a warning that Al Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula was preparing attacks in several European Union countries. The Saudi warning said AQAP was focusing on France.
Also, the U.S. intelligence community has assessed that Al Qaida's network in North Africa has been assigned by leaders in Afghanistan and Pakistan to expand attack operations to neighboring Europe, focusing on France and Spain.
