Retired Marine Corps Gen. James L. Jones said last week that the new Obama administration national security strategy focuses first on “rebuilding our nation” and then dealing with threats abroad.
The second priority after the U.S. economy is “comprehensive engagement” abroad that appears to seek to diminish the U.S. role as the sole superpower in seeking support from other nations.
