    Moscow set to help Syria reverse oil misforturnes

    LONDON — Russia plans to launch a crude oil project in Syria.   

    Russia's Tatneft intends to begin production from fields located in eastern Syria. The Syria Report said production would begin at 5,000 barrels of crude oil per day, Middle East Newsline reported.

    Syria has sought to reverse its steady decline in crude oil.
