Iran tempts Switzerland with energy deal

NICOSIA — Iran has offered an energy partnership to Switzerland.

Iranian acting Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari said Switzerland could be a partner in the development of crude oil and natural gas in Iran. Nozari issued the assessment during a meeting with Swiss Energy Minister Moritz Leuenberger on Sept. 14, Middle East Newsline reported.

"Iran holds 16 percent of the world's gas reserves and is ready to cooperate with Switzerland," Nozari said.
