OMAN DISCOVERS LARGEST GAS FIND SINCE 1995
ABU DHABI — Oman has discovered the largest reserves of natural gas
since 1995.
The Omani Oil and Gas Ministry said its latest find was reported last
week in the central emirate near the Seeh Rawl field. The gas was discovered
at a depth of 4,500 meters near the Khazan-1 well.
The ministry called the find the largest since 1995. Officials did
not provide details.
It was the latest in a series of natural gas discoveries. In Feburary,
the Petroleum Development Organization announced the discovey of a field 50
kilometers from the Adam province.
Oman began exporting natural gas in April. The first shipment was sent
