Robert J. Morton is a newspaper journalist specializing in foreign news and alternative media platforms. He helped launch The Washington Times National Weekly Edition in 1994. He is the first and only editor of the publication, which then House Speaker Newt Gingrich described as a leading example of the "New Media".
A former correspondent based in Tokyo during the late 1970s, Mr. Morton obtained a Masters in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. While a Media Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University in 1998, he and other members of the editorial and advisory board decided to launch World Tribune.com.
Supplemented by the affiliated weekly newsletters, Geostrategy-Direct.com and East-Asia-Intel.com, WorldTribune.com is the first U.S. news site dedicated to international news and a leading online destination for geostrategic coverage.
