Shanghai? Seriously? Ten percent of voters wrote in Trump’s name vs. CCP candidates

But his year, many Chinese voters cast their write-in ballots for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and other foreigners of certain reputations, including a popular Japanese porn star.

In Shanghai, there was a local election for Shanghai municipal People’s Congress delegates last week.

While all candidates on the ballots are Communist Party loyalists chosen by the Party bosses, many voters expressed their resentment and sarcasm by casting votes for their favorite write-in candidates.

In the district where the Shanghai Engineering and Technology University is located, U.S. President-elect Donald J. Trump received over 10 percent votes while the Japanese porn star Sola Aoi, aka Blue Sky, received over 6 percent of the votes. . .
