Much has recently been written about the shadowy alternative government operatives of the “Deep State” within the United States. Many conservative talk-show hosts have increasingly warned Americans about an organized opposition against Donald Trump’s presidency.

Not long ago, Rush Limbaugh began to increase his focus upon this orchestrated opposition. Michael Savage, whose new book, Trump’s War, details the Democrat-organized war against Trump, and has recently increased his focus on the deep state operating from inside the federal government for his radio audience. Yet, most Democrats deny such a reality.

The other day, former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano dropped a media bombshell as he was interviewed by host Brian Kilmeade on Fox News’ Fox and Friends. Judge Napolitano claimed that “three intelligence sources” had informed the Fox News network that:

Obama used GCHQ, a British intel agency, to spy on the Trump campaign in order to avoid any record of the alleged wiretapping. (Napolitano explained) that President Obama went outside the chain of command. He didn’t use the NSA, he didn’t use the CIA, he didn’t use the FBI and he didn’t use the Department of Justice. He used GCHQ … And there’s no American fingerprints on this.

Earlier in March, Judge Andrew Napolitano was interviewed by Lou Dobbs on Fox News, and the former judge explained the deep state as that:

part of the government that never charges, regardless of which party controls Congress and which party is in the White House. (He went on to clarify:) There are many, many aspects of the deep state; we’re talking about the intelligence community deep state—people in the intelligence community that have access to so much information about everyone.

Napolitano praised President Trump, viewing him as the first President to face off against the deep state:

The deep state has a very wise and shrewd adversary—the man in the Oval Office (he said). [It is] the first time in the modern era that the man in the Oval Office has been an adversary of the deep state, rather than a tool of it.

Yet, not too long ago, Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer seemed to profess a veiled threat for President Trump on behalf of the deep state when he stated:

You take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.

Schumer and other Democrats had been reacting to Trump, after the President had complained that some rogue elements within the intelligence agencies were leaking classified information about Trump’s conversations and meetings. This is basically the real scandal in Washington right now as classified information is being illegally given out by such deep state intelligence operatives, and this is fundamentally what a domestic enemy is. Such actions should be viewed as treasonous—not viewed as “politics as usual.” This activity if traced to the Obama White House is a much more scandalous travesty of trust than what President Nixon was involved in with Watergate.

Yet, according to a New York Times columnist, Max Fisher, the deep state is not real, and there would be real consequences for blaming the Trump’s administrative problems on the deep state if it does not exist. (“What Happens When You Fight a ‘Deep State’ That Doesn’t Exist?”—March 10, 2017). Unfortunately, Mr. Fisher may not recall that Richard Nixon denied reality for some time too, until it became too much to cover up. And based upon what Judge Napolitano is claiming, it may be way too much for anyone to hide anymore.

Napolitano believes that President Trump’s call for congressional investigations into the allegations of Russian hacking during the 2016 election, as well as possible illegal surveillance and/or wiretapping of Trump Tower, could become a nightmare for the deep state and their operatives inside the U.S. government. Of course, James Comey gave many people cause to suspect whether he was part of the deep state when he made a bumbling show of handling of Hillary Clinton’s email server scandal by flipping from one perspective to another. Recently, Comey made news by demanding that the Department of Justice deny evidence related to allegations that former President Obama had the Trump campaign under surveillance.

Ultimately, the concept of the existence of a deep state within the United States is based upon the possibility of individuals working within the government that have no loyalty to the country. Misaligned loyalty to a particular political party or some specific person is the real issue, and the extent to which the lack of loyalty to America exists. This demonstrates how demanding and powerful political parties or personalities have become in the past 50 years. The oath of office for government employees may have little relevance to them, and can be recited without a conscientious engagement with regard to the pledge to protect America and the Constitution from all enemies, foreign as well as domestic. There exists the danger from a deep state of disloyal employees.
