The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that hundreds of rebels attacked the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command in Damascus. The British opposition group said the assault on a PFLP-GC training facility on Nov. 24 resulted in casualties on both sides.

Rebels also said they captured a Syrian Air Force base 15 kilometers
east of Damascus. They said two helicopters were destroyed and 15 military personnel captured.

“The fighters captured the combat brigade training center of the PLFP-GC after violent clashes,” Syrian Observatory said.

Both PFLP-GC and the Assad regime acknowledged the rebel assault on the facility, located in the Damascus suburb of Duma. The official Syrian Arab
News Agency blamed the attack on Israel’s Mossad.

PFLP-GC has been deemed the leading Palestinian ally of Assad. Sunni
rebels have been attacking the Syrian-sponsored militia in the Palestinian
refugee camp of Yarmouk on the outskirts of Damascus.

“With God’s help, the Marj Al Sultan airbase in eastern Ghouta has been
liberated,” a rebel commander said in a video statement.
